9s seems like a child to me so thinking 2b and 9s have a romantic relationship seems weird to me. 2b seems more like a big sister to me than a love interest. Edit: love how everyone always hate this take. You can't stop me, it's my head Canon, 9s is like a 12 year old.
9S didn't go crazy because he learned he was a puppet of war, he didn't go crazy because humans were dead. While those things made him suffer, he lost his head because 2B was gone, and she was gone forever. He loved her, maybe in ways he didn't fully understand being a, what, 3 year old android with a pre-determined personality?
If you put pressure onto yourself to get all 9s (and become one of only 600 people a year) you will probably fail and probably be upset about. Don't missout on developing socially to get all 9s, companies and universities look for other activities beyond GCSE grades. Reply reply apexture12 •
The version of 9S in the anime seems to be both more (for lack of a better term) "quirky" than in the games, exemplifying more mannerism associated with characters in anime of his archetype, while also having this more noticeble amount of bitterness, distrust, and distain for the machines than in the games.
If 9S is the best scanner model out there, I don't know.. but if he is then the Command won't dismiss him so easily. I remember that in some novels he is described as a fanatic of hacking and searching for knowledge by disrupting virtual barriers and completing challenges.
After farewell it's pretty much up for your interpretation but yes 2b&9s have romantic feelings for each other. I think it's pretty obvious. They propably wont fight anymore and enjoy having some peace together. Since 2b wont have to worry about killing 9s again she will propably stop acting so cold and open up to 9s more.
