The Feit device will connect with the app nonetheless. I think Tuya (which is a Chinese AI company) developed the app and licenses it to different manufacturers and those manufacturers don’t update the apps as needed or “tweak” them.
I was just gifted 2 Feit electric smart bulbs and am trying to set them up. However, there doesn't appear to be a Feit Electric Android app on the Google play store. This article on Feit's site is about the app, has a video on how to use it, and has a link to the app on the play store, but the link gives a 404.
However, the app never advances beyond "Adding device" and eventually times out, saying there was no response from the device. I have tried this in both EZ and AP pairing mode on both the Feit Electric and Smart Life apps with the same result. I have also tried with WPS active, as suggested in Feit's troubleshooting guide, with no change.
My solution is to use the items in the Tuya app to enable local functionality, and then block all internet access. First, a bit of backstory: I picked up a bunch of the Feit bulbs and Feit dimmer switched from Costco a few years ago, and set them up with Tuya without any issues.
What the heck happened with the Feit mobile app (iOS)? I'm guessing I'm late to this party . .. but some time ago I set up a bunch of Feit smartbulbs in my house using the Feit mobile app, linked it to my Google Home, and voila: have been controlling the the lights successfully using Google Home Assistant ever since.

Even though they were Tuya based, they could only be paired with the Feit app (which is a clone of the Tuya/SmartLife app), not with the Tuya app or the SmartLife app. The Feit app wouldn't talk to HomeAssistant, so it was basically useless to me. In the end, I gave them to my parents.
Hello, I recently bought a pack of 3 Feit Electric smart bulbs. They seem to be a rebranding of Tuya/Smart Life with their own app. I cannot get these bulbs to stay connected to my 2.4 GHz network at all.

Feit smart bulbs and smart outlets. Tuya? I have 1 Feit Camera, 2 Feit smart bulbs and 2 Feit smart outlets. I've shad them for several years and they have been configured in the Feit app. I just installed HA this weekend and when I did, HA said that it detected Tuya devices on my network.
